Retrospective Evaluation of Different Shade Selection Methods in the Context of the Vital Bleaching Technique

Objective: This retrospective study was performed to evaluate the correspondence between digital image analysis and spectrophotometry tooth shade results.Methods: The population consisted of 10 patients. Office bleaching using an in-office whitening. Tooth analysed by photographs at baseline, 1-week 3-month follow-up visits. two methods evaluated based on total color change (ΔE), calculated lightness, chroma, hue (LCH) values for red-green, blue-yellow (LAB) analysis. Mann–Whitney U, Wilcoxon signed rank Kruskal–Wallis tests were used statistical analyses (p<0.05). results determined intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC).Results: At follow-up, there no significant differences in (p=0.855), which showed strong agreement (ICC=0.983).Conclusion: Digital may be a useful alternative selection.
